High in the Himalayas, Halzi village faces threats from Glacial Lake Outburst Floods, endangering both the community and the Halzi Rinchenling Monastery. No Monastery, No Village follows a monk and a yak herder as they navigate the dilemma of preserving heritage or leaving home. The screening will be followed by a conversation with director Tashi Lhazom and journalist Ramesh Bhushal, exploring climate change, cultural preservation, and the film’s broader implications for Himalayan communities.
